One edit can increase your earnings 500%. The ad above is an example of what,in my opinion,is a style you should avoid if at all possible.The banner/image ads,even when the text option is included.are a much poorer choice then text only.

When AdBrite first came out with standard size ads that you could edit as to color and size,I reported that they were finally modernizing.However,even now,over two years later,the selection of ads in the banner/image area is very very limited,and until very recently was only bid on a CPM basis-which left prices,as compared to others,very poor. You may if you wish,set the ads so you only receive text ads,of which there are thousands and will do slightly better.

However,even text ads when limited in a standard size frame-say a 160×600,will cost you lost income,as they tend to show the same 4 ads as all the other sites that fall into your category. If you have a blog for example,the chances are your reader also view others blogs and therefor stand a very good chance of having already seen the ads you will be given. Perhaps they did click an ad at another blog,but then seeing the same ad on your site,and wishing to again view the ad-as does happen (people tend to need to see something several times before reaching a buy/not buy decision); then clicks it on your site-you will NOT be paid-they only pay the first publisher(in a 24 hour period) So-if you want flashy images to make your site more glamorous,use banner image ads of fixed size.If you want to make money use text ads only of no fixed size.Of course AdBrite will not tell you any of this,they are still trying to build a larger market share of banners ads, So you will need to edit the preferences to reflect what I have told you.I see everyone showing 5 ads,as that is the number AdBrite uses as default.

I suggest using vertical ads,that way may use as many as your space allows,I have 18 on some sites!Yes,I get 18 different ads,as long as my impressions are high and my CTR low.

You merely need to put the number you want in both spaces.To many will ask for 7 or even 12 ads,yet they leave the ads per row at the number 3 that comes pre set.So they end up with 3 or 4 rows of ads across the top of their page.

The ad sources do not like seeing a page were when you first open it all you see are ads.If you are going to have ads above your content,one single row no higher then 90 px is my recommendation.

I suggest that 7 ads per row is the max you should use,and only one row,for horizontal ads.Not only will you have a neater looking site,more of you sites actual text will be visible upon page load;which will please the advertisers and making you look less like an ad farm.
