1. You should note that the timeframe of the bids should be placed only during a short time frame. This is because auction sites automatically move expiring items to the list. So if you want to sell your items quickly, it is advised for you to use this method.

2. Choose the time you place the items in an auction wisely. You need to do this since you need to take into consideration the time of day which most of your potential clients will be home from work or school.

3. Use buy it now! option. It is important for you to include this on the items you are selling because a lot of EBay customers dont like having to compete with other customers for an item they want to buy instantly.

4. Don’t set the minimum for the bid too low. There are cases when a seller places a minimum price of a few cents for an item that should have costs a few dollars. They have a misconception that the bidding process will drive the price up to its real value. Dont use this strategy unless you are sure that it will work for your item.

5. Be prompt in responding to your clients. This will ensure a smooth transaction on both sides and this will encourage the buyer to buy from you instead of other sellers in the future.
