Signing Up

Signing up for Lockerz requires an invite. Never ask for an invite from someone popular because they will be busy sending other invites. Just go to the home page of this website and there is a sign up form. You’ll receive an invite much more easily.
When you are actually signing up, dont be afraid to post your phone number and other info. It’s not like it asks you for your credit card and anyways, this site is legit. It’s hosted by amazon and the CEO is the Ex-Vice President of Amazon.
After you sign up there will be a game called PTZ catch. You only get to play this once so listen to my advice: Don’t slide your mouse or trackpad rapidly back and forth. I tried a finesse strategy and got a great result of 32 ptz (32 is very good). When i signed up for my friend i shook my mouse rapidly and only got 17 ptz.

Earning Ptz

Earning ptz at Lockerz is quick, easy, and incredibly simple. You can earn an average of 4 ptz each day (not including referrals). When you sign in each day, you earn two ptz. You can only get those 2 ptz once a day, but it’s still incredibly easy. There’s also a dailies question that you can answer to earn two ptz. The last way to earn ptz is referring. For each person you refer, you recieve 2 ptz. I will explain that more in the next section

Referring

Referring is the hardest, yet most rewarding way to earn ptz. When you refer 20 people, you make the Z-List. Z-List members recieve a free T-Shirt and something even better. They recieve double the ptz! I have 5 great strategies to earning ptz that I will share with you.

1. Make a website

This is the easiest way to get people’s E-Mail addresses for you and for them. It can also be applied to the 4 other strategies I’m about to share. Just sign up for free hosting at a site like weebly. Make sure you have a contact page such as mine (It’s the home page for me).

2. Create a YouTube video

Make a YouTube video that reviews Lockerz. If you made a website, be sure to include it’s link in the more info section. If you didn’t get a website just tell them to send you their E-Mail. Also mention in the beginning and end of the video that they need an invite to join and that you can give them one if they go to your site or private message you their E-Mail.

3. Offer invites on Lockerz’ Facebook

Lockerz has a very active Facebook page. Be sure to offer invites on their discussion page and their wall.

4. Advertise with Twitter

Make a new twitter account if you already have one or you don’t. You want to get atleast 100 subscribers so you don’t seem like that creepy spammer. To do that go to the Twitter tab and follow every person their. They will all follow you back. Because you need to stay following them and they tweet a lot, I suggest not using that as your personal Twitter.

I know of a great website called TwitRobot that auto tweets for you every 3 hours (the time is adjustable, but to get less time you need to pay). Just mention what Lockerz is and include your website or tell them to direct message you their E-Mail.

Don’t just use auto tweets. Tweet regularly as well. Try to include a trending topic in your tweet. Here is a tweet I used to get 5 invites in 30 minutes: “Learn what Lockerz is and get invited!

5. Target SwagBucks users

This is one of the easiest and best ways to get invites! I use Twitter to do it. Just search “swagbucks” on twitter and reply to people who include their swagbucks referral link. Here’s the tweet I use: “U shud join lockerz, it’s easier to get points and prizes r cheaper. Get Info and invited at http://invite2lockerz.weebly.com” Remember, people tend to listen to you more when you sound like an actual person, not a spamming robot.

Spending ptz

Since Lockerz is a newer site, they aren’t in stock long. You can find out when they go back in stock on Twitter and their Facebook page. If you want to redeem a prize, do it right when it goes back in stock.

8 Tips for a Successful New Year

September 16th, 2009 Howto Posted in Affiliate Networks 5 Comments » 445 views

benefitsMany people, a new year provides an opportunity for reflection and a chance to start a fresh page in their lives. The same holds true in business as companies roll over to a new set of goals.

How can you take advantage of the brief lull between the holiday frenzy and upcoming seasonal promotions? For those of you who didn’t just answer “Take a vacation,” here are 8 practical tips that will help you put your best foot forward in the New Year.

  1. Reflect on the Past Year: What Worked? What Didn’t?Take some time to step back and examine how you did this past year. There are two important questions to ask yourself when conducting this review: What worked well for me? and What could I have done better? Are there any areas of your business that were neglected? Take a look at your actual performance for the year and compare it to past performance data. Did you generate more sales this year than last year? Which categories saw an increase or decline? What about your EPC – has it improved in the last 12 months? What contributed to your successes, and how can you continue that success into the New Year? Ask yourself these questions and use the answers to improve your business in the coming year.
  2. Set Goals for Yourself: What Do You Want to Accomplish This Year?Setting goals is one of the most important things you can do for your business. After reflecting on the past year, set some high-level goals for the coming year. Maybe you’d like to grow your overall sales by 10 percent. Maybe you’d like to establish 20 new advertiser relationships. Whatever your goals are, it is crucial to think carefully about them and record them in some way. Write them on a piece of paper and tape it to the side of your computer monitor. Create a document and set a reminder to review these goals once a month. Find a way to keep your goals top of mind.
  3. Gear up for Q1: Get Ready, Get Set, Go!Once you’ve set some high-level goals for the entire year, it’s time to dig in and nail down your plans for the first quarter. Make sure you are geared up and ready to get off to a great start. Have you planned which advertisers you will promote in the coming months? Be sure to pay attention to advertisers in key categories that relate to consumers’ New Year’s resolutions, such as Dieting and Dating, and also to advertisers in the Tax category. Also, look ahead to some of the upcoming seasonal promotions such as the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day promotions.
  4. Plan Your Networking Events for the Year: It’s All About WHO You KnowEveryone knows that networking is a vital component of a successful business. As such, make it a priority to look at the calendar and plan out which industry events you would like to attend in the coming months. By planning in advance, you can save yourself some money on flights, accommodations and other travel expenses. And you’ll be able to look forward to events and prepare for them well in advance to make the most of each networking opportunity. Each event will enable you to establish, rekindle or solidify business relationships. Be sure to save a slot for CJU in the fall.
  5. Review Your Web Site: How Are You Benefiting From That Analytics Package?Take a look at your Web analytics reports from the past year. If you don’t have any Web analytics for your site, this is a great opportunity to do a little homework and find a package you like. Google Analytics is a fairly popular package, and you can’t beat the price. If you already have some kind of analytics package installed, review the data and look for ways to improve your site. Are there certain pages that are converting better than others? Try to figure out what specific qualities are helping those pages convert and apply that information to improve other pages on your site. Are there other areas of your site that could use a little improvement? This is a great time to make those changes.
  6. Get Some Feedback: Reach Out to Your Site’s VisitorsIf you are having trouble figuring out your next step or how you can grow your business, consider consulting the best resource you have – your site’s visitors. Reach out to your customers and ask them for feedback. Don’t expect them to give you a definitive answer, but their input can help steer you in a new direction. You can post a brief Web survey to ask them what they like or don’t like; or, you can contact users individually and try to get some more detailed feedback. Ultimately, these people are responsible for the success of your business, so it doesn’t hurt to cater to their needs, when you can.
  7. Promote Yourself: Try Something NewYour success depends on being able to bring visitors to your site. To that end, you can never do enough to promote yourself and your site. This is a great opportunity to test a new method of self-promotion. Take a stab at a paid search campaign. Try sending a newsletter to your users. Consider sending out a press release. Build out a page on a social network. There are countless ways to get your name out there; why not pick one and give it a try?
  8. Clean House in the CJ Account Manager: Is Your Information Up-to-Date?Spend a few minutes reviewing all the information about your company in the CJ Account Manager. Verify that everything is accurate and up-to-date. This includes your contact information, address and payment information, as well as all the details for your various Web sites and promotional methods. While you’re in there, have a look at your Performance Reports and find any relationships that were unproductive (i.e., any advertisers for whom you generated no sales in the past year). Spend some time evaluating the relationships to ensure that you are not missing an opportunity and try to jump-start those that still have potential. Finally, consider removing non-responsive relationships to help you focus on your more productive ones. While this may seem mundane and non-critical, a few minutes spent on this now can save a hassle somewhere down the road.

You will inevitably be spending time relaxing with family and friends this holiday season, but don’t forget that next year is just around the corner. It’s never too early to start looking at new opportunities and planning for a successful year. We hope these 8 tips have given you some great ideas that will help you get off to a great start next year and make it your best year yet.

10 Tips for Making Your Affiliate Marketing Program More Effective

September 16th, 2009 Howto Posted in Affiliate Networks No Comments » 434 views

coffee-mug-laptopMarketers with successful affiliate marketing programs know that the affiliate channel is a cost-effective way to drive incremental revenue.

But as with any marketing strategy, if you don’t consistently apply best practices to your tactical efforts, you’re likely to have disappointing results. Here are ten things you should focus on to improve the performance of your affiliate marketing program:

  1. Effective Creative: Publishers spend time and money promoting your products or services, so you need to make sure you provide effective creative to help them sell your products. Effective creative has consistent brand messaging and a consistent look and feel every place the consumer interacts with it in the buy-or-try conversion funnel, from the banner on a publisher’s site to your landing page to your shopping cart or lead form. Effective creative also has a clear and highly visible call to action and a compelling offer (see Tip 2 below).
  2. Competitive Offers: Are your offers in line with your vertical or industry? Take a look at what your competitors are offering for similar products or services and evaluate whether or not your margins allow you to provide a comparable or better offer. The trend of offering free expedited shipping proved successful for online retailers during the 2008 holiday shopping season and is continuing to be popular with consumers in 2009.
  3. Deep Linking: It’s well known that deep linking (linking directly from your offer on a publisher’s site to the landing page where the product or service can be ordered) converts better than linking to your home page. The fewer pages a consumer has to click to before reaching the item, the more likely that shopper will complete the purchase. An easy way for online retailers to provide publishers with their complete and up-to-date product catalogs is through the use of data feeds, which we can set you up with.
  4. Optimized Landing Pages: Your publishers can drive quality traffic for you all day every day, but if your landing pages aren’t optimized, then your conversion rate will suffer. Make sure that there’s visual consistency between your ads and landing pages, that your copy resonates with your target audience and that you follow through on the promise of your ad by making it clear what shoppers need to do next to get the special offer.
  5. Pay-Per-Click (PPC)/Search Engine Optimization (SEO): If you’re not using paid and/or natural search campaigns to test the effectiveness of your ad copy, you’re essentially just guessing at what works. Often the success you see in search can be the best indicator for the success of your affiliate program.
  6. Simple Checkout Process: Streamline your checkout process to reduce the steps required to purchase a product. To prevent shopping cart abandonment, list shipping charges early in the checkout process and include thumbnail images of items next to their descriptions to provide a visual reminder for customers returning to their carts from previous visits.
  7. Incentives: Top-performing publishers drive the majority of your revenue and expect to be compensated accordingly. So don’t let them down by offering the standard commission you give to all your publishers. By offering special incentives that you tie to a specific product or to a volume or time-based goal, you’re letting your best publishers know that you’ll reward them for achieving the results you need.
  8. Communication: Lack of communication with your publishers is the cause of many failed relationships. Make it a priority to communicate frequently and clearly with your publishers using the methods they prefer. Many publishers rely on email or instant messaging, but there may be times when they’d appreciate it if you picked up the phone or visited in person – this especially applies to your top revenue-producing publishers.
  9. Professionalism: What you communicate to your publishers can be just as important as how. If you don’t have marketing copywriters on staff, make sure to run your affiliate program description page and publisher newsletters by your company’s corporate communications or documentation teams so they can flag typos and make sure the copy reads well.
  10. Quality Online Presence: When was the last time you looked critically at your Web site? If it takes forever to load, has confusing navigation or amateurish graphic design, then consumers are likely to perceive your products and services negatively. Invest in a graphic designer or user interaction designer (or a talented intern) who is skilled at presenting information from a consumer’s point of view rather than from a corporate perspective.

What is ClickBank?

  1. As Vendor. If you have digital products like ebook, etc., just sign-up an account as Vendor. Then sell your product through ClickBank. 1. Article Marketing. You write articles that are related to the products you want to promote. Then on the signature or About The Author area of the article, include a valid Affiliate Link to the product you are promoting. Then submit your articles to the Articles Websites like ezinearticles.com, articlecity.com, etc..
  2. Adword PPC Ad Campaign. Use the Google Adword program. Create PPC Ad campaign of the products you want to promote. Just make sure that the target URL is the valid Affiliate link so that you’ll be paid for the commission of the successful purchases of the product through your referral.
  3. Blogging. Create a blog with a niche related to the product you want to promote. If you already have your own blog, you can just write a blogpost or article about a topic related to the product you are promoting, then establish properly the ClickBank Affiliate Link within the articles. You can also promote the product by simply displaying banner or text ads on your blog.
  4. Blogs and Websites Advertisement. Some ClickBank Affiliates buy space from blogs or websites and display the banner or text ads on that space.

From creating your web site keyword rich, you can significantly improve the SE ranking of your web site. Remember the keyword density is one of the most significant elements that SEs apply when deciding the search engine ranking of web site. Nevertheless, you should at all times offer relevant, usable and appropriate information. Keep away from the temptation of overusing keywords merely to acquire a high ranking as this might put off many internet surfers. Relevancy plus quality is always the most crucial thing to think about whilst writing articles and it will be twice as valuable to your web site if you create these articles SE optimised.

6.Builds a Good Impression and Reputation

Encouraging additional people to visit your web site and do business with you by building an impressive reputation by your articles. Be viewed as an expert in your area and you will in the end acquire more clients enthusiastic to do business with you.

7.Raises your credibility by references and testimonials

Your articles are bound to receive feedbacks and testimonials once you publish them in e-zines and on free article websites. Record these positive feedbacks and remarks and employ them as promotional material on your website and/or within any of your advertising campaigns. Your credibility can be significantly enhanced by this feedback, because it will make a great impression on your visitors in addition to your present clients. In this extremely competitive world, first-class credibility and trust might be the only things you require to draw in fresh clients or make loyal supporters out of your existing clients. Original, valuable and relevant articles are all important tools that you should employ to improve and explode your business

Set yourself apart from any other affiliate

April 20th, 2009 Howto Posted in Affiliate Networks, Income Guide, Make money online No Comments » 359 views

Regarded nowadays as among the most effective and simplest means to earn some income, affiliate marketing is today drawing in a lot of people who work for themselves in this sort of occupation. But because competition is becoming greater, you might want someway to differentiate yourself from the other affiliate marketers out there. Because of the fact that several of your competitors together with you are advertising the identical program, in the identical places and even on identical websites. Here are a few points which you might want to think about in order that you will be able to stick around within this line of work and get the opportunity to beat all your other competitors.

The first thing is for you to run your own website. It’s imperative for you to own your own website when looking at affiliate marketing as your paid work.

Secondly, prospective clients in the first place go to sites where they can search and sometimes buy the products that they were looking at and for this reason it is much easier for them to remember a simple URL that you are using rather than a clumsy affiliate link and from that URL you can just direct to your prospects to the affiliate page that is on your website.

Another thing to remember is to have your own advert. Often affiliates marketers publish the same ad being used by other advertisers. In which case, you could email the owner of the affiliate program requesting permission to make your own ads. This way, people may not be as immune to the advertising, as sometimes seeing the identical adverts time and time again, may just make your potential clients skip over your advert all together. Besides, your main aim is to draw in or encourage people to click on and read your ads and then be interested enough to click through your website.

The next step is to have some products of your own that are exclusively available via your site. When you have your website running, it’s useful to have a few products or services which your clients can’t locate on other affiliates web sites. You want your clients to keep on returning to your web site and the best means to do that is to deliver something on your web site which they can’t locate from other people.

Being an affiliate marketer you must then decide on a certain market section where you are able to get either potential leadership or at the least a solid challenger role.

Affiliate marketing - Additional profits from 3rd party advertising

April 20th, 2009 Howto Posted in Affiliate Networks, Income Guide, Make money online No Comments » 383 views

Rather then fill up the page with a long drawn out revamp of what affiliate marketing is I will assume that you are already knowledgeable about at least the basics and if you have any questions will refer you to site menu at the bottom of the page.

One of the most important things you will discover when while educating yourself how to promote affiliate programs is the use of 3rd Party advertising. You may at one time or another be tempted to purchase one of the programs the latest “Guru” is trying to sell you to teach you the secrets of affiliate marketing. There is in fact a very good chance you will learn of that program from 3rd party advertising, perhaps even from one of the ads surrounding this page.I will save you the money-the secret they use is PPC advertising.Find an affiliate program you are comfortable with and then buy 3rd party ad,which simple put are ads that you only pay for if someones clicks on them, and subsequently, you can also earn from when people click on ads on site.

Why 3rd party Ads?

There are an assortment of ways for the merchant to compensate the affiliate for his services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply translates to a means to earn easy cash. Amongst the more common methods of compensation are the PPC method, the PPL method, and the PPS method. The pay-per-click method is the most favoured by affiliates, as their site’s visitor just have to visit the advertiser’s web site for them to earn income. The other two methods, , are favoured by merchants, as they only have to pay if the visitor converts for example join their list or actually buy their products.

Acquiring a great deal of profits from affiliate marketing programs, doesn’t depend so much on the compensation method as it does on the traffic generated from your web site. A website that can attract more prospects would typically have the bigger chance of turning a profit in affiliate marketing programs.

Google was the first to really develop the concept, and when they introduced their contextual ad campaign, dubbed AdSense, they revolutionized internet marketing for ever. No longer was it necessary to spend thousands of dollars on advertising, you could get your message in front of those who actually wished to see it for only nickels and dimes per visit.

The program was overwhelmingly successful, and like all good things, it soon had it’s share of imitators-most very poor imitators to be sure, but there were also some great success stories, many of which are featured on another domain I suggest you familiarize yourself with, AdSense Alternatives With Adsense,Adbrite,BidVertiser or any of the ad sources, the Ad Agency act as the go-between from the affiliates to the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would just sign up with the Ad Agency and supply them with text adverts relating to their products. These adverts, are really a link to the advertiser’s website, and would then appear on SE searches in addition to the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the 3rd Party Ad programs. In truth,3rd Party Ad programs are themselves an affiliate program, and is the one I most strongly you all become familiar with before investing heavily in any other program or promotion.

Although one can see many similarities between 3rd Party Ad programs and different affiliate marketing programs, you can also see many differences. With 3rd Party Ad programs, all the webmaster has to do is put a code on his site and they look after the rest. The ads that 3rd Party Ad programs would place upon your web site would in general be related to the content of your site. This would be beneficial both for you and for the advertiser, since the visitors to your site would be really interested in the items being advertised. However there is another side to consider, and that is of popular items and spontaneous buying decisions. In order to take advantage of those markets as well,I strongly urge you to use multiple ad sources, some contextual, some market driven. That way you will earn much more then if you stuck to just one contextual program such as AdSense.

The 3rd Party Ad program pays the affiliate on a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers pay the 3rd Party Ad program certain amount every time their advert on your web site is clicked and the 3rd Party Ad program would then send on some of this amount to you by cheque, paypal or other popular method after they have subtracted their percentage of the amount.

So, where does all this lead us to?

Where else but to earnings, earnings and even more earnings! Affiliate marketing programs and The 3rd Party Ad programs work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant’s side, a good deal of money can be spared if advertising efforts are centered on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising companies. For the webmaster, you are able to easily bring in more profits merely by performing what you do best, and i.e. by producing websites. Then if you combine all your earnings from both 3rd Party Ad programs and other affiliate marketing programs, it could easily become a substantial amount of funds.

Affiliate programs - Which one should you choose?

April 20th, 2009 Howto Posted in Affiliate Networks No Comments » 44 views

Make inquiries prior to joining an affiliate plan. Perform a bit of research on the different programs which you decide to join up to. Get a few results as they’ll determine what you will be accomplishing in the future .

Does it cost you money to join? Virtually every affiliate program being offered nowadays is absolutely free. Therefore why settle for those that cost you bucks ahead of joining.

When do they send out the commission cheques? Each program is varied. A few send out their cheques once a month, quarterly, etc. Pick out the one which is suitable for you. A lot of affiliate programs are specifying a minimum amount of commission which an affiliate must earn or exceed before the cheques will be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average amount of clicks to a banner or text link it takes to get a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This calculation is exceedingly significant as this will let you know how much traffic you must get in order for you to gain commission from the sale.

How are referrals by an affiliate’s web site tracked and for how long do they stay within the system? You need to have confidence in the program tracking the people you refer from your web site. This is the single way that you are able to get credit for a sale. The time period that those people remain within the system is vital. This is because many prospects don’t purchase at the start and could prefer to come back later on to make the purchase. Know if you’ll continue to acquire credit for the sale if it’s done a few months from this time.

What are the sorts of affiliate statistics accessible? Your choice of affiliate program should be able to offer detailed statistics. They ought to be obtainable online any time you want to check them overt. Constantly checking into your individual statistics is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your web site. Impressions are the amount of times the banner or text link has been viewed by a visitor on your web site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Will the affiliate program also pay for the clicks and/or impressions in addition to the commissions on sales? It’s important that impressions and clicks are also paid, because this will add to the revenue you acquire from the sales commission. This is particularly important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.
